1The space itself is a feast for the eyes, with foliage lining the three-story restaurant and a tree towering over the open-air dining room. A retractable roof provides an open-air view of Griffith Observatory, and the massive tree sprouts from the ground floor as a fixture through the space.

History
1Mirate opened in November 2022 as the sister restaurant to Mírame, the Beverly Hills modern Mexican spot that Gil and Egan launched in 2020. The partners took over the shuttered Rockwell Table & Stage in 2021 and revamped the 7,500-square-foot space. Reis came to the project after time at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood and République, where he worked with his mentor Shawn Likliter and built a path in agave spirits. Alan Sanz, the former chef from Maizano Costa Mesa, joined the kitchen after opening.

Per Eater LA, Sister Restaurant to Modern Mexican Hit Mírame Arrives in Los Feliz Next Month.
Between time at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood and République working with his mentor Shawn Likliter, Reis carved a path in the world of agave spirits, with the restaurant being the full-circle realization of his unique vision.
The partners opened Mírame in Beverly Hills in 2020, and in November debuted Mírate.
Gil and Egan took over the shuttered Rockwell Table and Stage 2021 and completely revamped the 7,500-square-foot space.
Since first opening in 2022, the multi-level restaurant has brought on Alan Sanz, the former chef from Maizano Costa Mesa.
